Gorgeous summer-like day today. The sun made me super productive.  Hit Runyon for a run in the morning, then the exquisite Rodarte show at PDC, a MUCH needed haircut, a shopping spree at H&M and BBQ with Mr. Diabolina for dinner.

Wore this LOVEly jumper I picked up at Forever 21 last week. Reminded me of the Rebecca Taylor red poppy print that I've been obsessed with since last year. Well, except that my little red tulip number cost $12. I want to live in it this summer.

Did I mention it has pockets????

Rain again today. Which meant flummoxed party of one.

Started with the sergent Pepper trench coat. Then came the scarf to make the outfit less dreary.

Then the purple top and carmel accessories to complement the scarf. Felt like a hodgepodge of spring 2011 color crossed with winter.  

Tried to bring the spring 2011 colorful despite the blah weather.

Knew today would be a rough, long day at work.

Opted for comfort---stretchy leggings, second skin top, cotton blazer. Love how the blazer reads professional but feels like a sweatshirt. Kept it on all day so I was the only one that knew about these two little surprises. Get your mind out of the gutter: I'm talking about the shoulders not the tatas :) 

Adore the color of this top---especially with the orange pop on my nails. Plan to wear it to death.  Just $12 at H&M now.

Decided to sex up all the comfort with sassy little Stellas.

Hard day made easier by fashion.  Story of my life.

Thrilled to be home after such a long work week. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Mr. Diabolina this morning who is off to start a trial in The OC for a few months. He'll be coming back and forth...but it's still tough.

Luckily, I have my little adorable momma to keep me company. She showed up at my door, looking sassier than ever today.

Had a feeling she would so I decided to go big.  Started with the color block sandals and tights---a look I love but rarely end up sporting. Added the striped skirt because I am gaga for stripes lately and just thought it worked with the graphical feel of the shoes.

 Then came the thrifted camel and black trim coat I got years ago for less than $30. Feels brand new since it is tres Celine Fall 2010. The sunnies complete the Celine vibe.

Favorite outfit of the new year.
