Madewell jeans

The Accessories

A+ with extra credit for the tiny purse

The Commentary

Channeling Blair Waldorf today.
Blair-Waldorf-headband

God I miss the days when GG was actually entertaining. Also miss the days when headbands were IT.

Fashion Diary 020

ADORE the perfect symphony of the three mixed prints in this outfit.  Look closely they are simply pulled together by the black and white with pops of red. Easy. Now you try :)

Dug out a tiny teeny purse that is a handmedown from my mom. She wore it all the time in the 80s.  Had to SEVERELY edit all the junk I normally carry around. Really liked lightening the load and bananas over the cross shoulder, mini-Chanel look.

Fashion Diary 027

Fave part of the outfit: a little pinkie froggie ring.
Fashion Diary 022

New go-to outfit that is classic, playful and comfortable. A+ to me.

The Commentary

Built the outfit from the bottom up today. Nabbed these flats for $14 at  F21 this weekend. I almost keeled the fuck over when I saw them. They looked just like Stella McCartney cut out nude flats...that cost $600...and are also plastic.

They also look ALOT like nude flats from Chloe, Jimmy Choo and Prada. Run run run and get these shoes.

Love how the print of this DVF top mirrors the scallops.

And don't get me started about this ruffle swearter. I could wear it with a trash bag and look chic. Ugh I get a lady boner just thinking about how amazing it would be with Stella lace. So Olivia.

Fashionista Cooking

The Scene
Freaky Friday again. Which means I cooked again.

Tonight's recipe Miso-Soy Glazed Salmon. The delish little dish Peach whipped up for my mom during our March trip to NYC.

Tonight's liquid courage: tequila.

Final product: another Mr. Diabolina pleaser. Yay me!

Thinking I'll have lots of time to practice my cooking when my mom has her surgery. We're thinking early December. She'll be in the hospital about 4 days. Recovery is a couple of weeks. I'll likely take a leave from work...

Life is a blur right now. Apologies in advance for falling way way behind on the blog.

The Outfit
Madewell jeans
Thrifted turtleneck
Behanz Sarafpour for Target jacket

The Accessories
Nordstrom rack heels
Chanel bag and earrings

The Grade

The Commentary
No fashion mojo this morning. Freaky Friday, remember ;)

Kept things simple with black pants

And a black jacket. Chose the neutral shoes and top because I just wanted to blend in today at work. Get out of there in one piece and hit the weekend. Misson accomplished.

The Scene
Weird day at work. Fear and panic in the air. Blah. Left before 7 p.m. for once.

Popped into my fave resale shop. Unfortunately nothing amazing in my size. This Proenza Schouler look alike would have been HOT if it was a size bigger. Or my boobs were a cup smaller. F.

Had to McGwyver this size 4 into an asymmetrical neckline since it wouldn't zip up the back. Kinda fabulous, no? God, do I need to learn how to sew...

Suggested Fat Fish for dinner.

Partly because I LOVE the lychee martini

The banana split

And the sushi. In that order.

But mostly I picked it because Fat Fish is across the street from a glorious fashion temple, the Phillip Lim store.

Got an invitation to MEET Mr. Phillip at an in-store 1st Anniversary event tomorrow!!! Words cannot describe how giddy I am about it. And shy ;)

Here's what the back of my head looks like as I think: I want that and that and THAT

Here's the back of Mr. D's head as he thinks: UGH, how much is this gonna cost me ;)

Best news of the week: Christian Louboutin is opening a store across the street from Phillip Lim and down the street from the Abbey. My fave clothes, my most wanted shoes and my gays all on one block????

Clearly I've been a very good girl and the universe is FINALLY starting to acknowledge my super sweetness ;)

The Outfit
Madewell jeans
Forever 21 tunic
Vintage jacket

The Accessories
Forever 21 bracelet
Fashion district bangles
Louis Vuitton Damier tote
Tory Burch flats

The Commentary
Discombobulated by yesterday's news so nothing fancy today for work.

Just a jacket and ballet flats

With a tank and blazer. Still nicer than what most people wear to work every day.

These new embellished neckline tanks at Forever are a fresher take on today's rosette one bought circa 2007.

A simple way to give a tank a makeover this summer: add a necklace like this one from Anthropologie

Or this Marni look alike from Forever 21. If you aren't used to bolder necklaces, white might be a good way to ease in.

My TGIF casual look was not nearly as exciting as the ensembles that graced the very spot where I took today's outfit photo

On Wednesday night, Phillip Lim and Vogue hosted the star studded 1st anniversary bash for the LA store.

These were my favorite looks from the night. Something so very Cali cool about them.

Can't believe I get to peep the man behind the beauty tomorrow! Best 3.2 birthday present ever ;)
