The Scene
While my mom met up with some of her NYC friends, I work work worked this morning. And everything went extremely smoothly (PHEW!!) In fact, I was done early. Unbelieveable. I AM DA BOMB!

To celebrate, I whisked my mom over to Bergdorf Goodman for a late lunch. Discovered the top floor cafe with Sable Crow on a trip a few years ago. Tasty food and dreamy girlie girl decor. Perfect place for afternoon tea.

Also an ideal place for fancy people watching. I spied three Birkins with my little eye in just an hour. DELISH!

After grubbing, it was time for some cardio at Bendel's.

Wanted to recreate scenes from Confessions of a Shopaholic ;)

And although I wanted about a million things including this bangle

And this scarf

I ended up only getting two headbands. Plan on debuting them ASAP.

We did do lots and lots of window shopping (read: drooling.)

Before getting our tourist on at 30 Rock.

For dinner, we had a hot date with two pretty boys at Pastis in the meatpacking district.

Yummy food but even yummier, funnier company

Dessert was courtesy of Magnolia Bakery. Sniff. Sprinkles is betta, IMHO.

Though Peach did teach us about the banana pudding which is bananas good. Ugh. He is the devil.

Perfectly perfect day. God I heart my life, my family and NYC.

The Outfit
J Brand jeans
H&M turtleneck
Cardigan

The Accessories
Pashmina
BCBG boots
Levin peacoat
Forever 21 sunglasses, bracelet and headband
Chanel bag
Fashion District ring

The Grade
Pass

The Commentary
Nothing too fabulous today. Dressed for comfort and warmth.

Just jeans and boots and some dashes of color.

Did love the shades of purple all working together - the sweater, scarf, bracelet, ring and headband.

Blair would have been proud.

Lots of purple on the Fall 2009 runway - Victoria Beckham

Alberta Ferreti

And Philosophy to name a few.

Ideally I would have rocked this Marc bag during the day

And this Marni clutch in the evening. ADORE! But the Chanel bag worked well. Chanel always works well ;)

Chanel story: My mom and I popped into the Fifth Avenue store today to say hello to all things Coco. We were in there about 15 minutes when the alarm went off. A woman managed to walk out the front door with a $3 k bag!!!!!!!!

It was the most insane thing I've every witnessed at a luxury boutique. The woman was extremely well dressed - think upper Eastside blonde. She just played it off like she forget she had the bag dangling on her arm!!!!!!!

And the Chanel staff just laughed with her and let her go. Isn't that crazeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

If my mom or I tried that, they would have slapped on the handcuffs faster than you can say fingerless gloves. F.

That Chanel story is great! Can't believe you saw that. People have such sticky fingers.

Boo to Upper East Side blonde thieves.

The Chanel story was too funny, and unfortunately probably too true.

Agreed Sprinkles is WAY better than Magnolia!

I'm loving all the fun headbands that are out right now. I'm scouting for one for myself currently.

I only wish I'd look as cute as you do in today's outfit in NYC. I'd definitely giving you a better than Passing grade.

Can't wait to see the new headbands! I wish I could rock the headband as well as you.

Wow. That Chanel story reminded me of the incident on Gossip Girl when Blair walks out of VBH with a pair of unpaid-for sunglasses. Shocking.

Ugh.. Last time I was in NYC I was too chicken to go into Bergdorf. Felt too under dressed in the cold and HB was already too annoyed with my incessant shopping chatter.

I wish I could accidentally walk out with a Chanel bag!
