First Monday after 10 blissful days of vacation + more rain in L.A. = scrambled fashion brains...again. Resulted in a hodgepodge of an outfit. 



Living for the glamour of capes and only have one so on it went...Wonder Woman style. 



Loving Louis and leopard so they came next. Followed by boots and the striped belt



Awoke with a horrid hair situation so wrapped it up in a top knot...crazy lady, Black Swan style...which is really redundant since crazy is Black Swan.  



I think what I liked most about the movie was that it released me of all my guilt over never being very good at ballet as a little girl.  Now I realize I wasn't crazy enough.



My mom on the other hand was tiny dancer/crazy perfect. Can you tell which white swan is her?

Last day of vacation + rain + the pressure of daily outfit posts again = scrambled brains. Just wanted to keep warm and dry today. Tried to cute up the outfit with some matching bows.

Overall, I like the mixture of colors but the look was just meh and functional. Decided to channel Joanna Hillman and added the red lips.  Instant way to feel glam on a dreary day. 

And at least I matched my mom.

Despite being pretty darn lucky, I'm not much of a gambler.

Like a great New Yorker once said: I like my money where I can see it...hanging in my closet.

Vegas for me equals three things: eating, spa-ing and shopping. NYC might be the city that never sleeps but this Christmas, I confirmed that Vegas is the city that doesn't shut down for the big guy's birthday. Much to my amazment, EVERY store was open on Christmas Day...until 10 pm!

2011 Fashion Diary Day 1: How to Wear a Sequins for Day

Have decided to bring things full circle and do a daily outfit post in 2011. Whatcha think???

Cannot believe I managed to have the discipline to chronicle every single outfit and happening of 2008 and most of 2009. That will forever be one of my proudest accomplishments as a writer and fashionista.

So here goes my attempt to be more inspired and insipiring sartorially in 2011...God help us all ;)

The Commentary

Wanted to start the new year off. Really bring it and set the tone for a year of fabulous. 

After a bit of a fashion emergency/anxiety attack, threw together some daytime sequins with stripes and a trench.  Added one of my favorite pairs of "sensible" shoes with my go-to accessory of the moment, my floppy hat. I heart it.  Very Parisian, crazy lady chic effect, me hopes.




The blingy cherries on top: new trinkets of deceit bought wholesale at L.A.'s fashion district for a grand total of $6.  A good reminder that luxe trendy looks don't have to cost a fortune.



p.s. Meet my mom's new Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket and Fashion District ring. Picked both out for her this week.  



I've requested that when she gets compliments, she makes sure to give me credit as her stylist. Yes, I am crazy...crazy amazing!
