Big launch goes well today. Only at work until 9 pm. Sigh.
Watch Stylista when I get home. Someone I know worked on the production so I am happy to report that, well, at least the production values are high.
Unfortunately everyone on the show is a caricature. An unlikable, unfunny caricature. No Tim Gunn loveliness in sight. No Michael Kors witty banter to be found. And I had heard that Anna Wintour wannabe can't walk in heels but GOOD LORD she looks hobbled.
I'll keep watching it. But I won't like it ;)

Got dressed with visions of Prada parading around in my head.
Love the cut of this JCrew dress - the deep V in the front and back, the structured waist, the prim hem length. Got it resale a few years ago. $15. Am sure it retailed for at least 5x that price.
The print is a subtle floral. But can you see it looks a little like lace too? The vintage slingbacks with the pretty cutouts looked a little like lace to me too. So added the bright pink accessories to match and jazz everything up.
My recessionista version of this Vogue page. Adore.

I watched Stylista and totally thought of you. Nobody on that show would remotely be your competition.
right on about the hobbling anna wintour wannabe! didn't pick it up when i watched the show, but upon second glance, she looks like me trying to navigate anything higher than a 2-inch heel - i.e., like an awkward 13-year-old walking in heels for the first time. eek!
and, seriously, it's a freakin' magazine - drop the attitude, lady! i despise people who take themselves that seriously.
