Da Fashionista Super Sweet Closet Tour

I've been wanting to put together a video tour of my closet foreva. Have put it off for over a year because, well, I am THE AWKWARD OLYMPICS around video cameras. I'm the person at parties and weddings that just waves at them...like a deaf mute deer caught in headlights.

Enter Mr. Diabolina. To the rescue. Per usual.

He LOOOOVES him some video cameras. Totally ironic since in most social settings I'm the extrovert to his introvert. But he is a big shot litigator which requires theatrical flair and zero self consciousness. And one of his greatest regrets in life? Not submitting an audition video to the Real World. He'll deny it but it's true. Sad but true.

So after viewing a closet video tour I made on my own and declaring it "totally lame", Mr. Diabolina offered to help me shoot one. I resisted for days. I mean the only thing that could be more UNCOMF than doing a totally lame video would be doing a totally lame video with your mister. Shudder.

Then tonight I had a cocktail, watched some horrifying American Idol auditions and decided to succumb to The Auteur. I'm still SHOCKINGLY awkward in it but the pop up bubbles I added help break the tension. And major kudos to Mr. D for indulging me with the Q&A...and the blog... and everything else that's important to me. He is a prince.

I am having closet envy - mine is so small and dark you couldn't fit your arm inside it let alone a camera. Thanks for sharing.

You sound just like Pam from The Office! This made you even more relatable. More videos!!!

Wow!! Thanks for the video, it is always really fun to see how people organize their closets. Great for ideas too. I weirdly expected your voice to be higher though. : )

You two are ADORBS! Loved the video. I hope there are more in the future!

I need to show this video to my closet so it can see what it needs to look like in a few years.

How cool to finally hear a voice! I know how you feel about being in videos, I'm the same way. Wish my closet was as big and filled up like yours!

Love your video. And love your posts. You are real unlike a lot of stylist/fashion bloggers out there.

um, hokay, where to start.
1. didn't think it was possible to be in love with you and your blog more than i already was, but this video disproves that theory.
2. your closet is uh-may-zing.
3. i want a mr. d of my own.
4. the drawers/that's what she said comment made my week.

all hail the video diabolina!

Thanks for the video! I loved it! Your voice oddly sounds nothing like what I would imagine?
It's adorable that even though it seems like you're making this video as punishment (frowny face)-- it's still totally entertaining and the pop-ups made me laugh. More videos please!

Finally got a chance to watch this. DYING! On camera Diabolina gives 5% of the energy of real-life Diabolina! I demand that you remake this video and put some pep in your step! Totally kidding. But really, I'm making a video right now and I completely freeze as well. I get nervous because I sound like a child and I've been known to mistake flacid for flatulence!
P.S. Mr. D kinda sounds like a tv announcer.
P.S.S. Love you!!!!

I know I need two things in my life: 1) a closet as fabulous as yours and 2) a man just like Mr. D who loves me enough to help me make a video just like that about it. You are a lucky, lucky lady.

My favorite new feature! More please!

OMFG! I just got a quiet few minutes to watch--aMAZing!! Love it and can't wait for more.

By the way, Giada DiLaurentis was ALL KINDS of awkward in front of the camera for her first few shows (the pilot episodes are PAINFUL) and now she's a natural!! Giada is to food as you are to fashion!!

Hee, I always imagined you with a high-pitched and perky voice! So funny to actually hear the voice of Ms. Diabolina. Now I have to reimagine your voice whenever I read your posts in the future.

all those props you're getting are from LIE TELLERS! you were such a butthead! hahaha. (i mean that in the kindest and most sisterly way tho!) poor Mr. D! hahaha. love you! totally jealous or your closet tho. and i swear you MUST have more clothes than that...

Super cute! I want your closet. :)

That video was great! Loved the pop-ups, they made me laugh, and Mr. D gets serious brownie points for being so encouraging, even when you were making angry faces at him. I too am jealous of the shoes and the shoe area of the closet...maybe I will aspire to a fancy closet redesign of my own some day. More videos please!
