The Scene
Frank Black at The Mint tonight.

Don't think I've seen that many nerdy Catholic boyz in one place since high school.

Daisy Duke's and I tried to be good girlfriends and get into the angsty white man music. But by the fourth song we were holed up in a corner, chatting about hot chick stuff.

At least we tried.

The Commentary

Monochromatic gray today. One of my fave looks.

Have been craving three kinds of jeans lately: 1) gray, 2) distressed and 3) bleached - in that order.

Didn't want to spend too much on gray skinnies. My last pair I bought at Tarjay. For $25. In 2006 dollars.

$29 at Old Navy was music to my ears.

But the real center piece of my outfit: the debut of the new boyfriend blazer. Have been looking for just the right non-black one for over a year

Wanted one to wear over dresses

And pair with pants

Maybe even style with shorts

Kim Kardashian has been a boyfriend blazer goddess lately

They were actually MADE FOR girls with boobs and a butt.

They provide just the right amount of coverage - for day or evening.

Had been on the hunt for a white blazer, specifically.

But when I hit Zara I realized I'd probably get much more use out of gray than white.

Plus it was under $100. Much better than the $300+ versions on Shopbop.

The shoulder pads DO take some getting used to since they can make you feel more Buffalo Bills than Balmain.

Rocked the chic but edgy Forever 21 necklace ala Kim tonight too.

Inspired by Cameron Diaz I donned the new Kate Spades. AH-gain.

Not only were they a nice pop of color but they are uber comfortable. Especially important when one is standing around trying to get into melancholy boy music.

Debuted my new zipper-y clutch today too. It was a beyond thoughtful birthday present from my client Paola. Loves HER!

Also looooove the fact that when I add the strap to the bag it's vaguely Alexander Wang for Fall. I really cleaned up this birthday.

My grey skinny jeans are from Urban Outfitters. I didn't want to spend a lot of money either!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the boyfriend blazer. Probably because I love gray, and anything having to do with boyfriends or blazers or Diabolina.

F. When did I become a groupie?
