The Scene

Had baby fever dreams all night.

My biological clock is getting louder than Poe's tell-tale heart. F.

Thought I might seriously inhale Baby Pope with kisses and cuddles yesterday.

Learned it from watching my baby mama.

Had a lovely leisurely day with her today. We conspired about business ideas and found lots of designer looks for less.

Like this Forever 21 skirt that was a dead ringer for Marc.

Alas it was too poofy across my child-bearing hips.

So instead I snapped up this easy pretty dress.

A $22 version of Nicole's recent kimono.

Also found these Jeffery Campbell cage heels. $165!!!

Dead ringers for YSL. Not sure I'll get them but nice to know I could...

In the evening, I got home to the best email. Paola wrote to tell me how much she loved her lookbook and how she's already put my advice into action. She sent 3 pictures of purchases she made today based on my recommendations.

Look at how amazing she looks!!! The saturated color, the neckline detail, the defined waist, the mile long legs. A+

So much more flattering and chic than her old go-to slung skirts and shapeless cardigans. From meh to mah-velous!

Paola ended her email with a line that instantly made me tear up, "Thank you soooo much for your help and candor. I feel like you've changed my life."

And just by saying that she's changed MY life. Love!

The Outfit

The Commentary

Bought this sweater a few weeks ago at Nordstrom. A little cheaper - in price and quality - than the typical Image wrap sweaters I get.

Couldn't believe my mama was wearing the same sweater when I picked her up. We're creepy connected, yo!

Everyone with eyes today remarked on how we matched. And they inevitably said how flattering that color is.

Would loooove to get the Rebecca Taylor romper in a similar orangey shade.

Frankly would love any romper I could get my hands on.

Feel so adorable yet sexy in them.

Also dying for another easy jumpsuit.

Wore these espadrilles today to elongate the leg

And because they reminded me of the strappy Prada Resort 2010 shoes I fell in love with this week.

All the Prada resort shoes were GORGEOUS.

YSL too

Paola will be happy that platforms were the thing at Marc

And Marc by MJ

Bottega

And Alexander Wang

Christopher Kane

And Diane Von Furstenberg.

The Resort 2010 collections boast some of the best fashion I've seen in years. Flattering and functional. Check them out here and start drooling now.

Baby fever, eh? ;) We saw our friend's 2 week old daughter yesterday and she is just a little doll. Oh dear.

Love the orange and olive together.
