The Scene
Started the day at the Flower Mart.
Always so inspiring.
Mentioned to Paola yesterday that she should look for fashion inspiration in her event work.
I always borrow unusual color combos from flower arrangements I see.
Not to mention pretty prints.
It's no surprise that in flowers as in fashion I'm attracted to bold, rich colors.
Love love love pink and orange
But yellow is my current fave.
Midday, we had a lunch date at Palermo's with the Pope family.
I finally got the chance to meet their newest, most gorgeous member. LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!
The lunch was technically a birthday celebration for Mr. Pope.
But we all know know who the real center of attention was. LOOK AT THOSE LIPS!!! And the "What you talkin about, Willis?" look!!!
While the boys caught up about boy things
Mrs. Pope and I talked babies. Feel so lucky to be able to learn about motherhood from such smart, ambitious women.
In the evening, Mr. D and I succumbed to the hype and watched The Hangover. But the real scream of the day was this Louis Vuitton beater. THE perfect Recessionista ride.

The Commentary
Love me a color block dress
Miuccia does too - showed some for the Prada Resort 2010 collection
Today I rocked the red
White
And blue
With touches of beige
Reminiscent of the DVF 2009 Resort collection
I don't typically like to look like a flag
But for this collection I'd make an exception
These maxi dresses are exactly what I want to live in this summer.

Beautiful flowers. Have to make a trip out there soon. Agreed about the yellow, and loving it as an accent with the black and white.
I love that LV ride! Amazing!
omg that car...hilarious!
OMFG. I WANT TO DO THAT TO MY JAG. EXCEPT MAYBE INTERLOCKING GUCCI G's, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE GUCCISIMA LEATHER.

That car is hilarious!
i'm dying over that car. i love it when you blog about the flower mart...such beautiful flowers and amazing colors.
I'm soo happy your business is growing. I love the dress, I love a colour block dress as well and the pic of LV car was the laugh of the day.
I saw that exact same car driving past Cal Tech one day!! Damn near made me crash my car into the car in front of me!
Great flower pictures (I just wrote about a pink and orange dress btw) and awesome car photo!
The picture of all the gerbera daisies - that was the vendor that I used to buy the flowers for the baby shower I hosted in April. The owner was so sweet and even sent her nephew out to help me get everything to my car. And those suckers lasted over 2 weeks!!
