The Scene

Have you ever watched HBO's In Treatment? I only caught a few episodes of the first season but LOOVED them. I grew up wanting to be a psychologist. And that strangely intimate yet clinical verbal dance between a therapist and patient continues to fascinate me.

So much so that I watched 5 episodes back to back tonight. Not a good idea. Too much intense emotion for someone dealing with an intensely emotional time right now. Ugh. I want off this rollercoaster. Or at least a good therapist along for the ride.

The Commentary

Feeling exhausted this morning. From the marching last night and the last few weeks in general. Dug out an easy, go-to bubble dress in a tribal print. Forever 21 to the rescue.

A great alternative to Versace bubbliciousness

Or even this more reasonably priced but still pricey Tibi dream.

Today's dress has had quite a bit of staying power.

Bought it over two years ago and it still works with so many of the runway trends

It's a cross between Anna Sui Spring 2009

And DVF Fall 2009.

A bit Oscar de La Renta-ish

And DKNY-y

Dusted off this old faux coral neclace today to add to the global bazaar feel of the outfit.

Not much of a statement piece but always a nice pop of color. Especially on a hump day.

The shape of the necklace reminds me of those creepy carved necklaces, earrings and heels Dior did this season.

Much prefer Anna Sui's take on tribal.

Donned the red sandals today

Again in an effort to pep up the outfit and my mood.

Thinking this pair of Narcisco sandals would be perfect for ...love Maegan's brilliant DIY detachable shoe ruffles.

Loving all the recessionista creativity that is coming out of tough economic times. One always has to look for the silver lining during cloudy personal and fashion times.
