The Commentary
Mr Diabolina and I are all kinds of maudlin and missing Peach already. Think I wore this lil ole Old Navy dress because it reminds me of a hog heavenly day we spent together last year.
The print is also a poor poor poor woman's version of this Lanvin one. Wah to faux Lanvin.
Opted for leggings instead of tights today. I've been rocking leggings for about two years now. Resisted like crazy at first. After all, I was around for the first leggings go around. 1988 was all about stirrup pants in the Diabolina household. And Sun-In.
But I am now a convert. Unlike Tim Gunn, who loathes leggings, I totally recommend them to anyone who will listen. Yes, they can be a trainwreck (see Lindsay Lohan) but they can be a comfortable god send as well. They can be casually elegant or elegantly casual. Depends on how you style them. They can provide just the right amount of coverage when you are feeling chilly. Or jiggly. Or both.
Was actually worried they were completely out of style for adult, professional ladies like me. That is until this week. When I started seeing them on one of my fave adult, professional bloggers.
And per usual, what's on the girls in the front row is typically what's featured on the runway.
Alexander Wang showed leggings for Fall 2009.
So did Tibi
And DVF.
But DVF didn't just show de riguer black leggings
She was all about patterns
Including camouflage
And leopard print
And leaves - my favorite one.
Am currently craving edgier leggings - something Rumi or Camille would love.
Wishing I could pull off these strategically shredded ones. Doubt I'd have the balls to actually wear them. Remember how long it took me wrap my brain around letha leggings? F.
It's hard being an old fart with the taste of a young chippy.

Arrrggh, have been fighting leggings for years. But have been feeling like I should cave. Perhaps, soon.
I think I'm a full convert. I love being able to wear shorter dresses with the coverage and comfort of the leggings underneath. When are the biker shorts coming back? Haha.
You sure look like a young chippy to me!
Just came across your blog and I love it..! First Old Navy dress is my favorite. Absolutely stunning!
i love the print of that dress
it's funny that you posted my picture with the leggings because I've been feeling the same way about leggings and wasn't so sure about that outfit.
(and thanks for the love. :) )
I am going to have to hunt down the leaves leggings. love them!
I have been fighting leggings since they came back...tooth and nail. I finally broke down and bought a pair last week for a long plane ride, thinking they would be the most comfy option for a 10 hour flight.
I've worn them almost every single day since. :-\ I guess I am finally converted.
i always feel like i'll look like an old lady pretending to be a young lady if i wear leggings with dresses... you've changed my mind and i think i'm gonna totally do it tomorrow!
love ya and sorry to be mia lately. back in full force now.
maybe.
i've been resisting the leggings for forever, too. as you know. i think it might be about time to cave. :|
