The Scene
So glad Mr. Diabolina and I made the right decision and took the day off work today.

And that we played outside in yesterday's beautiful weather since today was unusually overcast for Southern California. The sun never managed to peep through the clouds. The HORROR!

Spent a lazy hazy day over at the Peepers' palace. I spent most of the day resisting the urge TO EAT THEIR FACES.

While the four of us watched football, we discussed music and philosophy, medicine and art, human nature and the meaning of life. Thems the benefits of hanging out with three individuals with doctorates. Sniff.

But lest anyone think of us as boring, nose-picking intellectuals, please note that for most of the day, we wore funny hats. From Dr. Peeper's extensive collection. Just cuz.

Sometimes I forget how we met The Peepers. Feels like we've known them forever, can't really remember a time when our souls weren't dancing. Seems crazy that The Peeper and I just randomly met while working at the same company. But, as we discussed today, nothing is really ever random, is it? Well, maybe except that Dr. P's funny hat collection ;)

The Commentary

After yesterday's all American (read: tragically boring) casualness, I was craving a little European glamour. Knew we'd likely be lounging around all day at the Peepers' but that was no excuse.

Decided grey cashmere, brown leggings and this faux fur would blend to create a yummy symphony of casual elegance.

Thought about doing the faux leather American Apparel leggings but thought that would be too TOO.

Besides the Uggs wouldn't have worked as well. And I'm sorry but the Uggs were a must today. Remember the whole no sun thing. Shudder.

The coat was a hit with the Peepers.

And Mr. Diabolina awkwardly pet me a few times so I took that as a compliment.

I particularly loved how the Forever scarf tied everything together.

Felt fabulously Carrie all day. Even if it was just rolling around a friend's living room floor.

But the best fashion moment of the day was when the Peeper introduced me to these house shoes. Kept giddly looking down at my feet thinking they looked like baked potatos. Gawd, I love being Asian.

p.s. I was just purusing the new Louis Vuitton look book and found two little monogram beauties. Me thinks I suddenly want a cherry tote and matching necklace for Valentine's Day.
