The Scene
Telling you that I was in major pain today would be an understatement. A BIG BIG BIG understatement. Did you SEE how bleary eyed we all were by the end of last night? Ugh!

SOMEHOW got through the day, had a romantical dinner with Mr. Diabolina and hit the hay EARLY, immeasurably saddened by the fact that these old bones can no longer party like they used to ;(

The Commentary
Another go-to today. Couldn't be creative today so turned to a tried and true staple. You've seen this exact look before but hopefully still love it as much as I do.

The dress is the epitome of comfortable chic. The jacket though professional and polished is still fun and easy. ADORE them together. The luxe matchy accessories tie the whole thing together and elevate the effect.

Got home today and saw all my bags laying about which gave me the idea to do a Lucky post. Show you a few different summery outfit options. Built them around this one dress because it really is an IDEAL building block. Let me know which one you like the best:

You could add a little Target cashmere sweater and sandals for an effortless look. Ideal for an evening BBQ or casual drinks at dusk.

You could also add the Marc clutch, London Sole flats and a Gap linen jacket for a cute casual Friday work look.

Switch out the fuchsia wrap sweater and gold Stuart Weitzman sandals and LV speedy for a simple weekend look that works for shopping.

Keep the dress as the focus and add an evening clutch and high healed braided sandals for a night out on the town. I'd add some statement earrings and makeup to really make this look sing.

Remember it's always easy to breathe new life into an old dress. All it takes is a few bold accessories and a little effort!

I like look #2, but I am a sucker for that clutch!

Fun Mr. Monkey story for you -- yesterday, he asked me if he could put a small bottle of water in my "MJ." He called it an MJ!

I'm partial to #2, also! Love the pop of color!

Don't know how I originally ran across your site, but I'm really liking it! It's really fun to see what you put together each day - especially with the High/Low mixing aspect of it all!
