The Commentary
I've been considering the pajama trend ever since THAT Dolce and Gabbana collection a few seasons ago. I love how the vibe is masculine yet sexy, languid yet luxurious, retro glam yet functionally modern.
But it hasn't been easy to find pj looks that fit both my body type and budget. In absolute LUST with a new line that's getting alot of editorial coverage called Piamita (pants pictured below.)
But I don't even know what stores carry it---sigh! So I was thrilled when I found a sweet little silky number at The Barneys New York Outlet over Thanksgiving.
Love the flattering fit! Newsflash: a belted pajama look is best if you've got even the slightest hint of boobs and hips. Don't want to look like a frumpy, female Hugh Hefner.
Decided to go fitted with the bottoms. And added the silky heels. Love how PURRfectly they pick up the navy and blush piping of the top.
A new go-to look is born.

I bought the Alexa Chung x Madewell pajama top with the palm trees on it, but ending up returning it because it was just too much night wear for me. This is a trend that has a very fine line between looking oh so right or oh so wrong.
You look fab by the way, I live that your went skinny on the bottom and added those fun shoes.
I have seen the pajama trend but your second posted picture of this trend make me want to go out and get this look like ASAP!! lol Love it!
