At The Trevor Project EOY fundraiser two years ago, I met Rachel Zoe, joked with Brad Goreski, and Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King complimented my shoes. Pretty much a fashion orgasm of an event.
This year it was a little different. First of all it was at the Palladium in Hollywood---a much bigger space to accommodate a much bigger turnout. The spate of GLBT teen suicides earlier this year thrust The Trevor Project into the national spotlight, increasing the organization's profile AND funds raised significantly. Bittersweet outcome.
And borrowing from Glee's success, a musical theater-gasm.
It was so hilarious, entertaining and deeply affecting that I didn't mind the fashionistas who were in attendance taking a back seat.
Besides, I took it upon myself to bring it sartorially. Paired a beloved BCBG white dress (very Lanvin for H&M, no???) with a drag-tastic leopard coat that I wore once before---not surprisingly at a Trevor Project Oscars event.
But the best call of the night: getting my drag queen on with makeup by MAC. Ugh. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DONE EYE MAKES!!!! For Christmas, I want a personal makeup artist. Please and thank you, Santa.

Coincidentally, the palette, print and silohoutte I chose were what the evening's best dressed pretties were feeling too. Love.

You look absolutely fantastic!
you look gorgeous! You've inspired me to look for a leopard coat, STAT.
You look beautiful. And, your style is WAAAY more high-class than mine, but I've started a little OOTD fashion blog of my own a couple of weeks ago and would love it if you stopped by. It lacks in leopard print, to be sure, but hopefully not for long! :) Come on by if you want/get a minute. http://adayinlifetoo.blogspot.com
But, either wa, have a wonderful week.
