My Super Sweet Panda Hat...At Last

To kick off L.A. Fashion Week earlier this month, Refinery 29 had a little shopping party for bloggers at Space 15 Twenty.

Was over the moon to run into Alicia.

Loved that we were wearing matching brogues.



 
Great fashion minds.

Also loved that we both got THIS close to buying more of what we already have.

I resisted and instead bought one thing: a black and white knit hat at Urban Outfitters.
 Except instead of a black bow, it has black EYES!!!

FINALLY the panda hat I've wanted since 2008!!!!!!!!!

Loooooved it so much Mr. Diabolina and I bought a few more for the USC game the next day.

Seriously how cute is a USC panda?



ALMOST as cute as the panda on the Vuitton Spring 2011 runway. 

But nothing beats a panda wearing panda at Panda Express. Perfect.

p.s. As I was getting ready to post this and watching Watch What Happens, that mad genius Andy Cohen had Lisa from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dress her puppy Ziggy as a panda.

I mean I literally couldn't make this shit up. WHAT ARE THE ODDS!!!



 

And yes. Yes, my head has exploded from all the fucking cuteness of this post. Hope yours does too.

Fall 2010: How to wear leopard

I adore leopard.  But I get that most women: not so much.  I get that most women aren't over-the-top, attention-whoring, Latin, Leo divas...like SOME people. 

I get that for most women, the easiest way to incoporate leopard into a wardrobe is often with an accessory like a bag, a shoe, a belt, a scarf.

I totes get that even a  leopard vest or a blouse or a pair of pants is comfortably out of most women's comfort zones.

I get all that.  But you have to get that I recently fell in love with Zina's blog, FashionVibe

And her images of fashion insiders wearing animal prints in big bold ways
= encouraging my wild tendencies.  

After all, I think it's good to stand out from the crowd. To make a statement. To take a chance. 
With how you live your life AND how you wear your clothes. 

I think it's just plain FUN TIMES to be a dancing machine at your friend's dirty thirtieth.

In  a Banana Republic (OF ALL VANILLA BRANDS) leopard dress.

To pair a whole lotta print with even MORE lips

And top everything off, with the most TOO MUCH shoes you own.

That is until  you get your claws on these leopard beauties

Currently Craving: Valentino Studded Kitten Heels

I first saw them on Claire Danes during Paris Fashion Week. 
And it was lust at first sight.

Then there they were again on Garance Dore.
In all their gloriously impractical practicality.

AND on all the front row It girls. Of course.
Those skinny kitties always steal all my kitten ideas ;)

Recently I started wearing my old Manolo kittens more often,
pretending they were as studly as the Valentinos. 

During a trip to Michael's, I realized I might be able to add a studded trim to them to get the Valentino vibe.  Alas, I am no p.s. I made this, and chickened out, confident that I'd probably ruin a pair of perfectly good fancy shoes in my pursuit of new fancy It shoes.



I did, however, pick up this fabulous feather trim.

Which Anna's already been rocking...with her Valentino studded kittens....of course.
