New Shiny Toys: Tashkent by Cheyenne

January was Mr. Architect Month. His Silver Haired Fox was out of town for a few weeks caring for an ill parent so we made a point of inviting Mr. Architect out whenever we had fab plans. This resulted in quite a bit of lunching, boozing, cackling and trying to look skinny in pictures - you know how we do. LOVE that beautiful, hilarious man!

The month of "I heart Mr. Architect" culminated with his birthday par-tay at Rockwell. All his biggest fans and many of our favorites - Sable Crow, Danny B, Daisy Duke's - were in attendance. Funniest line of the night went to - duh - Mr. Architect. After taking in all the, um, ladies at the Los Feliz bar, he sniffed: "These girls think they are Kim Kardashian but they are really Armenian Snookis." I freaked out because I was LITerally thinking the same thing when he said it. Great minds...

For the festivities I debuted my first shoe purchase of 2010: Tashkent by Cheyenne peep toe bondage-y booties. Every single person who saw them COOOOOED over them. I seriously LOVE them more than is appropriate. We are taking inter-species love.

Remember when I first discovered this brand back in March of 08? Well I've kept my eyes peeled for them on sale ever since. But whenever I saw them in a store or online they wouldn't budge below $250. F.

That is until a few weeks ago when I stopped by American Rag for the first time in a decade. There they were waiting for me. The only size left, the leg lengthening color I wanted AND marked down from $500ish to $130.

Channeled Jennifer Connelley again by pairing them with all black and a shot of color courtesy of a Gucci scarf.

Absolutely obsessed with Balenciaga's Spring booties and think my new tootsies are a low cost approximation. Plan to wear them to death.

If you are in the market for some edgy shoes take a gander at Pour La Victorie, my shopbop picks and Neiman Marcus' nude options.

And here's some inspiration from net-a-porter on how to rock them.

I'm completely jealous that you found a pair of Tashkent shoes for a relatively reasonable price. Those shoes are definitely on my radar, but remain to be on the I can only dream list. :)
I'm glad to see that you are getting much use out of your City Tote!!! I just know you are glad you got it.
