The Scene
Mr. Diabolina and I flew out out of NYC this morning. He headed back to L.A. and I headed to Boston for a work conference. Spent most of the day prepping for the tradeshow and catching up on work. Boo. By dinner time was so spent, I couldn't even think about going out. Ordered in a surprisingly tasty noodle dish.
And then I went over to my good friend Flower's place for a night of HBO comedies. Lovely catching up with Flower. Heart a boy whose home is a shrine to booze and his late mama's memory.

The Commentary
Built the outfit around the new vest. Love the length and just look at the drapey open back! So Yohji Yamamoto!
A vest is a great transitional weather piece that can really take an outfit from basic & blah to polished & chic.
Worked so well with the shades of gray today
And the leather jacket
But the real star of today's look: my new Tory Burch booties. Comfortable, HOT and $125 at the Decades Two pop-up.
When I was trying them on, an upper east side brunette told me I had to get them. She thought they were Chanel's Double Sole Patent Short Boots which retail for over $1000 and appear to be one of Alexa Chung's favorite shoes. Suckers the both of em.
Think they are just the right balance of fierce and functional, a bootie and strappy sandal in one.
Just how my newest obsession, this Lagerfeld bag, is just the right balance of cheeky and fabulous. NEED IT!

How do I keep missing you both in NY and Cali?!
