The Scene
TGIF.

Over tacos and beer tonight, Mr. Diabolina and I had a big talk - one of those serious, grown-up, life-defining talks. We talked about the future, about the risks we want to take, the meaning we want to find, the fears we want to conquer. We discussed how we both need to make a change, how the next chapter is ours to write...together.

Then we watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past - hahahaha. Like we didn't just have one of the most potentially life-altering conversations ever. Like our heads weren't spinning with thrilling, terrifying possibilities. I guess we figured big changes are a-coming, we might as well enjoy two hours of mindless fun tonight.

The Commentary

Yesterday I was in a meeting where I was the only person not in jeans. Felt like an alien.

So today I gave in to the casual. Decided to channel Leighton in her skinny jeans, tank and ADORABLE sandals.

Since I don't have Leighton or Gwyneth arms

I added some colorful and preppy coverage to my stripped tank.

I'm not a big fan of cardigans - make me feel like a mommy. And chubby when they don't button ;) But for someone with an aversion, I sure do own lots of cardigans. Wore a different one for the last three days!!

Thinking this means I need some vibrant jackets that are light enough weight for L.A. summers.

Some structured long vests that pop would be hot too.

Also added distressing jeans to my to do list. Right after starting my own business and before writing my book ;)

Oh, don't distress jeans! They don't deserve the emotional turmoil ;-)

The casual look suits you. Love the yellow colour too. You should do it more often.

As you know, I'm the queen of cardigans. ;) At least they're now accessorized well, thanks to you!

I like have big, adult conversations with the hubs. I hope good things are in the works for both of you.
