The Commentary

I tend to complicate things. So today I tried to embrace simplicity---mentally and sartorially. Three pieces: wide-leg trousers, a tucked-in tank and a well-cut jacket. It's an easy look that European fashion editors consistently rock with an insouciance that I invariably covet.

Made little tweaks to make things a little more special and yes, complicated.  Rolled up the sleeves to show the amaze lining of the jacket, pulled down the tank to show the lacy accents of the brassiere and added the long necklace for a dash of flash.

The shoe choice was all about comfort. Love a sensible heel that's anything but boring.

The wide stripes always remind me of Stella McCartney's best season: Resort 2010.  But today they looked a bit Prada Spring 2011. Such a versatile shoe for under $40.

Final touches dark navy sunglasses, side braid and bright pink lips.

A new go-to work outfit is worn.
