The Scene
Mommy Sunday. Packed and got our nails did for our big trip tomorrow. Beyond excited to get away and celebrate her 60th birthday in style.

We ended the day with This is It. LOOOVED! Sad but incredibly uplifting. Made me want to work harder, be better.

And have a slumber party with gays and dance all night long.

p.s. Fellow fashionista Amber Valetta was at The Westside Pavillion Landmark screening today too. With her kid. The fact that she looked like she was on the rough side of 30 made me want to weep.

I remember our days on the right side of 30 only too well.

The Commentary
Bought this dress about two years ago but never got around to wearing it until today.

Bought it back in the day because the subtle apple print reminded me of signature Marc and Luella.

A few seasons later the dress is still reminiscent of what those two designers are showing on the runway

Here are some more flashes of purple pretty that have caught my eye of late

But my favorite part of the look today: the necklace and the long blazer. Made a dress that could have read 2007 look very of the moment.

I totes give this look an A. I like the print and the necklace is such a nice accoutrement to it.

Should I totally see the movie?
