The Scene
Spent most of the morning watching the Equality March on CSPAN with my mom. Nothing more inspiring than watching people come together to make a statement. So powerful.
Also loved watching a tiny mom parading around, adoring the gifts I brought her back from NYC. One Pucci scarf from Century 21.
And one headband from Henri Bendel.
Thankfully we won't have to go across the country to get our Blair on anymore. Henri Bendel is coming to the Beverly Center! This Gossip Girl says xoxoxoxoxo

The Commentary
Not feeling very creative lately. And missing NYC. Hence the all black.
I cannot convey how ironic it is to me that all black is the uniform de rigueur for fashion people. It's what I turn to when I'm not feeling fashionable.
But I know that a little black dress with a whole lotta leg is never a BAD thing.
Realized half way through the day that the bubble hem paired with the boots was very Vuitton for fall.
This fall's hottest shoes: over the knee boots. Fabulous on the runway and in Pretty Woman but not as wearable for the average Jane.
If I were younger, thinner, and richer though, I'd be all over Stella McCartney's perforated faux leatha boots.
A close second would be Rodarte's fall beauties.
For now, this recessionista will content herself with a job that pays the mortgage and old boots paired with a new $3 ring ;)

Adore your cape. You look so fashionably cosy. And as always adore your fab mom.
I guess those pleather boots needs holes to let the sweat out!
3 dolla make ya holla! Nice ring!
Rodartes are my faves.
