Bought this suit at Haute Seconds a few weeks ago.

When I first saw the tweed suit I thought it might be Chanel. But I zeroed in on the buttons and realized I was mistaken.

So I looked at the price tag. $200. Not bad I thought as I looked at the cut of the jacket and skirt. When I saw the label read St. John, I think my heart actually skipped a beat.

Haven't bought a new, retail suit in over a decade. All the ones I have are resale. Bought for about $100.

Ultimately decided to buy this suit because I wanted to will some "meetings."

It's part of my whole "buy the fierce dress and the fiercer party invitation will materialize" philosophy.

So happy that it worked out. Felt incredibly sleek and professional today

Very NYFW in all black today

Kept the look from being too boring or staid with a few pops of strategic color. Got half a dozen compliments on the shoes alone today.

My only regret is that the weather wasn't cooler. Could've worn my polka dot tights and really blown everyone's socks off. .
