The Scene
After work, I decided to wait out the traffic and pop into a resale store cleverly named Haute Seconds. Hadn't stopped by in years. BIG MISTAKE.
We are talking Christian Louboutins for $300 BIG!!!!
Have never ever NEVER seen such a selection of red soles in a resale store. Apparently there is a size 8 customer who works in entertainment and is given Louboutins and Louis Vuitton bags for free. Wears them just once and then comes in and consigns them.
This shoe - which has haunted my dreams for the last year - was worn just once and then discarded because of the white dot that your toes cover anyway!!!! Rich people kill me.
Alas the only pair in a size 9 were these beauties. A little too much like the Kate Spades I just bought. Wah.
But the rest of the shoe collection more than made up for it.

This pointy pump with the wood heel that I've loved for a year? Just $100.
They even had Guisseppe Zanottie animal print.
And unlike many resale places the shoes often came with the box.

And the bags - god GOD the bags!!!!!
This YSL patent leather one almost came home with me.
In the end I might have bought two DVF dresses, a St. John jacket and an Et Vous top. Pricetag? Less than $300.
Go to there. Now.
Ended the night with a dinner at mommy-favorite, Aroma.
Deserved every bite after being such a good investigative Recessionista ;)

Still had polka dots on the brain today.
Pulled out this Marc top that I've decided I bought TOO big.
Covered it up for The Office with a blazer.
And rolled up the sleeves.
Added a pair of jeans
That always make me feel long and lean.
Finished the look with my Chloe platforms.
They will just have to do until I get my hands on just the right red soles.

Wow! I've got to check this out. I had great luck at the Crossroads in Silver Lake last weekend, let's hope my luck is still with me when I visit Haute Seconds!
