The Scene
Hardly slept. So excited for this vacation. We've been dreaming about Hawaii since back in December when we won the prize package at the Trevor Project fundraiser. It's literally been the only thing keeping us going for weeks.

Got to LAX by 8 am

In the air by 9 am

And happily ensconced in our fancy limo in Oahu by noon Hawaii time.

Um, have you ever seen a pair o' Casper the Friendly Ghost legs that needed Hawaii so bad?

That's why we headed straight for our private beach at the Ihilani.

Followed by some serious "I'm on vacation so calories don't exist"pigging.

Back in our room, Mr. D weighed himself to assess the damage

While I checked out the damage to my Brazilian Blowout by the salt water. Good news: this is as curly as I could get it which isn't very curly for me at all! YAY!

After some more time in the water, we lounged in our room.

This was the view to our left.

And to our right. H-E-A-V-E-N.

Then it was time for a romantical dinner at Azul.

(Had to change because like a pig on vacation I managed to get food all over my new purty dress within seconds of sitting down for lunching. F. )

Watched the sunset while we had our appetizers.

Ahi sashimi

And lobster bisque

Then came the main course. DELISH!

Perfectly relaxing first day in paradise.

The Outfit
Forever 21 dress/Image maxi

The Commentary

The minute I saw this dress I knew it was what I wanted to wear on a tropical beach.

So Nicole with our matching Brazilians ;)

Gawd I love blue dresses

Especially with a tan.

The embroidery on this dress also makes me gaga.

Makes it look way more expensive than $16.

Like Anna Sui Spring 2009

And the scalloping, deep neckline and back are tres sexy sweet

But the ring was hands down the best part of the outfit. Got a dozen compliments on it today. Will be adding it to the Diabolina store - don't you worry.

Nothing says summer like a beautiful flower in your hair AND on your finger ;)
