The Commentary
Built the outfit around this skirt. Got it on sale at Anthropologie (aka Vag Central) about five years ago. Still too expensive.

I never buy full price at Anthropologie. No matter how tempting the gorgeousness.

Ugh and this $148 skirt certainly is tempting my tummy. F.

I heart the subtle flared shape of today's skirt. And the subtle floral print. It's more clean and graphic than syrupy sweet. The color palette makes it super easy to accessorize. You can pick up the lime, mustard, chocolate or navy. Today I went for the chocolate accents with the top, shoes and bag. Easy. Done.

How perfect is this necklace with the skirt??? Still makes me giddy after nearly a decade of owning it.

Such a simple piece - just buttons on string. Less than $20. But it can breathe fresh life into any outfit. Love how it would work with my fave Chloe look for Spring.

Keep stocking up on interesting, inexpensive statement necklaces. They will still be big come springtime. And they will take a decidedly floral and baubly turn. Yum.

Am still obsessed with this Dries Van Noten necklace. Read a great blog post and snippet in Glamour about making your own version with ribbon and bangles. Simple! I am not much of a DIY type but this is one arts and crafts project I think I can manage. Will report back.

I used to sneer at Anthropologie as too girlie for me.

Then I tried something on there, and I became a fan.

But you're right -- so expensive!

i love arts and crafts projects. i think i will copy your idea, but use rings instead of bangles - i'm not so fashionista daring!

if my mother in law was a little thinner and a little younger, she would LIVE at anthropologie. as it is, she settles for browsing whenever she gets the chance.

i've been all over buying/wearing inexpensive necklaces recently and it's all your fault! ;) but, really, thanks. even my CWs are noticing that my outfits are much more accessorized these days.
