Bedbuggin' while Topshopping

Jean Bean is terrified of bedbugs. She is careful about where she sits and what she touches and where she goes. She is O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D. 

So obsessed she helped me strip my NYC hotel bed

And ensure there were no nasty little parasites waiting to suck my blood

We didn't find anything except lint. Which was enough to almost throw Jean Bean into convulsions.

I was the one in convulsions when bedbugs were found at Bloomie's that weekend. I mean bedbugs that love to shop sound cute but probably are not.




 Needless to say, I was turned off to shopping thanks to the little critters taking Manhattan.

Topshop was the ONLY place that could remotely tempt my tummy.

Fell in love with (bedbug-free) coats, shorts and jumpsuits at the only US store.

The drape and fit of this jumpsuit was sooo YSL for $110.

And though I loved that brick color, the navy was infinitely more wearable. 

 Figured I could come back and get it.
BIG mistake. Sold out by the time I came back a few days later.

Despondent and depressed and blaming bedbugs for my discombobulated decision making, I ended up just getting these pearl flats.

Probably because they matched my polka dotty outfit that I LOVE!

Considered snapping up this Miu Miu inspired blazer too



Swallows are the only kind of critters I'd consider taking home with me from NYC. Sorry, Bloomie bedbugs.
